Love That Bloomed in Silence
Chapter 1
The King of Solitude
Night had settled over Mumbai. Among its towering buildings, the silence seemed heavier than usual. The city lights still shimmered, as though they alone refused to sleep. High above them, beside an immense glass window, a man stood alone.
Ashwin Siva.

His name ranked among India’s top ten business tycoons. A single signature could set vast sums of money in motion. One decision could change the lives of thousands of employees. To the world, he had everything: success, wealth and power.
Yet behind that image of an untouchable man lay a loneliness no one seemed to notice.
With a cup of black coffee in his hand, Ashwin gazed out over the city. Beyond the glass, lights stretched as far as he could see. Within him, however, a darkness lingered. “So much light out there… and not a single spark to brighten this emptiness inside me.”
For a while, he stood facing his reflection without lifting the cup to his lips. His phone vibrated on the desk.
A message had arrived.
Rhea Kapoor.
She belonged to Mumbai’s high society. Her face appeared regularly in magazines, and her arrival at a party rarely went unnoticed. “Good evening, Ashwin… Are you coming to the party tonight? Will you pick me up?”
Ashwin glanced at the message. Without replying, he locked the screen and set the phone back on his desk.
Silence returned.
At least this silence asked nothing of him.
He knew the applause that greeted his achievements, the compliments that followed him and the smiles that welcomed him at every gathering. Wherever he went, someone was trying to catch his attention.
But what did they really see?
A man… or his fortune?
After so many encounters with people fascinated by his power and his name, he had begun to doubt the sincerity of anyone who approached him. “Has anyone ever wanted to know Ashwin? Not the businessman. Not the billionaire. Just me.”
The question often returned during his sleepless nights. Each time, it remained unanswered. Later, when he arrived home, his vast residence greeted him with its familiar stillness.
Everything was exquisite. Marble gleamed beneath the chandeliers, the furniture had been chosen with care, and every room reflected his success.
The house lacked nothing in comfort.
Yet it felt empty. At the dining table, a single place had been set for him. In his bedroom, there was one pillow. On the terrace, only one figure stood against the night.
His own.
Ashwin took off his jacket and laid it over the back of an armchair. Then he sat down, finally giving in to the exhaustion he had concealed throughout the day. “I have everything money can buy… I have earned respect… But my life still feels empty.”
He closed his eyes for a moment. Suddenly, the silence of the house felt heavier than the noise of the city. That night, once again, sleep was slow to come.
Ashwin was surrounded by admirers, business partners and people eager to share in his success. But that place deep within his heart… No one had yet found their way there.
